I originally missed this piece of art, even though it is on our subway line home.
This was before I wised up to the fact that if one wants to make sure and see all the art, then all exits, stairs, elevators, and each end of the platform must be inspected.
The sign describes this animal as a cross between a snake, turtle and a dragon.
The rest of the sign did not make much sense to me...but when I looked up the artist, I found some wonderful art, I love her wood cuts.
